III - Strategic application

Four types of account market have been targeted:

• For industrial use
• For external use allowing the creation and the diffusion of data to public sectors
• A public sector market for the development and commercialization of products for personal use.
• A major account market for Internet use of the product only


     3-1 Industrial applications

     Data sensors, which are more and more numerous monitors in these activities, in sense , providing an observation window on the activities and the environment which they monitor.

     For example:

     Sensors are presented in manufacturing industries as a mean to secure global manufacturing quality, and to trace the history of fabrication of each individual product.
Modern transport methods include numerous automated systems which optimize their behaviour, improving the security of travellers, by recording the evolving variables of the system being monitored.
The natural environment, meteorological conditions, or seismic activity are observed using nets of sensors, terrestrial observation satellites and aerial image capture platforms .
Nuclear physics experimentation (bubble room): Space missions produce volumes of data equivalent to that recorded by satellite observatory ground stations.

     The major account markets are those that shall be investigated in the industrial example:

     On one hand to create specialised and personalized products for certain kinds of activity (seismic data, physics experiment reporting; space missions) allowing the validation of the developed technology.
On the other hand to add value to data generating products used by wide audience (meteorological data, economic and demographic data, Earth resource observation images, health and agriculture).


     
3-2 Public applications

     The general public, with a view to the development of multimedia type products:

     An electronic encyclopaedia content available for consultation, electronic photo albums( plants, astronomy, art gallery, design, medical atlas, etc…)

     Notably, in the case of visual encyclopaedia and the photographs album, it is anticipated that an electronic camera could de used as a questioning system (for example:
Interrogation° and to enrich the encyclopaedia with their own experience.

     Agreements will be sought from different multimedia diffusion groups for this line of general public product.


Objectives

     At the end of the project it would be reasonable to achieve the objectives within the frame of the medium term time scale (years)

     To produce half-a dozen installations of specialized versions of the product at a major account sites for the Internet. In fact, contacts have already been made with a number of potential industrial users.

     To develop for the major digital data producer an application which adds to the value and the diffusion of data to a wide audience over the Internet.

     To be in position to agree with a distributor of multimedia products on the development and commercialization of an interactive encyclopaedia or electronic photograph album, available for consultation by content.


FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES

     To fit out the Internet providers and servers ass much in France as in the world. According to different versions disposing of the totality of tools or a part of them, the scale price may vary from 140.000$ to 340.000$.

     So, for the first year we plan to obtain a turnover of almost 1.200.000$ and reach a turn over of more than 3.000.000$ after 4 years

     The result ( after taxation ) that we target, is 100.000$ the first year and 6000.000$ after 4 years..

     The opportunities are wide , that’s why the equipments commercialization will be success even more important for the company.
